Throughout the year, we have special events geared for supporting families. Grandparents and aunts and uncles are welcome too!
Advent and Lenten events:
Meet other families and receive resources to help you mark these holy seasons in your home. These events are ideal for families with children in the 0-12 age range. (If you have a mix of older and younger children, we can take your teens and use them in leadership roles.)
The family Christmas Eve Service:
4 p.m., Christmas Eve
Are you looking for a service the whole family can attend? This service accommodates early bedtimes and short attention spans. (A lot of our older members claim to enjoy it for the same reason!) It’s not so much Silent Night as it is Joy to the World, which seems appropriate for the celebration of the birth of our Saviour.
The Young Disciples
The Young Disciples program is a special time of preparation for children ages 7-11 and their parent(s).
Six sessions long, with badge work and family activities in between, this program is an excellent way for parents to encourage deepening faith in their children while strengthening their own parenting skills.
The program culminates in a visit from the Bishop, receiving the children as Young Disciples of the Church and offering a blessing each, to children and parents.
The parenting children & teens courses
Wanting to learn some new tips and talk to other parents in a supportive environment about the joys and challenges of parenting through childhood or through the adolescent years?
These small group courses may be for you!
Call the church office to enquire about upcoming dates.
